Doseo offers radiotherapy technology research and development resources unrivaled in Europe. Manufacturers, researchers, and clinicians can use our state-of-the art equipment for their own research and work with our expert scientists and technicians on joint R&D projects.
One of Doseo’s missions is to open its doors to and build relationships with and between all radiotherapy stakeholders. Cooperation takes the form of partnerships between CEA LIST R&D scientists and technicians and manufacturing companies, academic institutions, and treatment centers.
These partnerships are designed to transfer new technology to businesses; speed the innovation process by leveraging diverse know-how from various disciplines; and take into account the viewpoints of end users, whose recommendations and approvals are vital to the process.
The French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission (CEA) contributes to industrial and economic growth through R&D partnerships that help businesses develop innovative products and processes. Currently, the CEA is running R&D partnerships at Doseo with SMEs such as AQUILAB, RTC, CIBIO, esprimed, Elekta, and Dosisoft.

Doseo is home to a 1,000 sq. m technology platform used solely for R&D and training. The platform is also home to 600 sq. m of offices and meeting rooms so that our industrial, clinical, and academic partners, regulatory professionals, and visitors can take full advantage of the facilities.

Services
Doseo proposes four different types of services.
1. R&D partnerships
You can become an R&D partner by:
- Signing a joint R&D agreement between your organization and CEA LIST
- Taking part in a multi-partner research project under French and EU programs (French National Research Agency, French Single Ministerial Fund, EU Horizon 2020, etc.)
As a partner, you will work in synergy with Doseo’s research scientists. The Doseo platform, equipped with state-of-the-art technologies and managed by experts in radiotherapy and associated imaging technologies (metrology, simulation, instrumentation, and more), promises optimal R&D conditions.
2. Radiotherapy and imaging training programs
INSTN (France’s National Institute for Nuclear Science and Technology) works closely with its partners to provide radiotherapy and imaging training for professionals as well as for students. Training participants will have the exceptional opportunity to access the Doseo technology platform’s equipment and capabilities.
3. Access to Equipment
The Doseo platform offers a comprehensive facility, complete with machines representing the diversity of today’s radiotherapy equipment. The technical instruments and the platform’s professionals, as well as its conference, training, and event facilities, are available for variable lengths of time, starting from a half-day. Qualified Doseo technicians help your organization make the most of its time at the platform.
4. Calibration and irradiation
France’s national metrology lab for ionizing radiation, LNE-LNHB (Laboratoire national Henri Becquerel), is in charge of ionizing radiation metrology for radioactivity and for photon and charged-particle dosimetry.
Part of the lab’s dosimetry team is based at DOSEO. The lab offers calibration, irradiation facilities, and dosimeter qualification testing for radiotherapy, radiation protection, and radiological diagnostics. The Cofrac (ISO 17025) lab’s accreditation, given by the French national accreditation body, covers some of these services.
