Precend brings together public and private stakeholders with Non destructive testing (NDT) & Structural health monitoring (SHM) expertise, equipments or needs.
The cluster regroups many expertise centers: technical centers, equipment suppliers, laboratories, providers and manufacturers from various business sectors (automotive, composites, rail, marine, aerospace, steelworkers...)
The cluster's missions are
1) support companies in their projects:
- proof of concept and lab testing
- feasibility or comparative testing
- technical assistance, product validation
- expertise
- custom prototypes developments
2) animate and promote the skills of the cluster's member:
- technical workshops
- publications
- intelligence newsletter,..
The 3 mains points to remember are
- neutrality and impartiality in the technical choices for the projects
- personalized and adapter response for each demand
- response based on a network of experts for a better access to technology expertise and innovation
Precend initially started in 2011 thanks to Feder (Europe), Fred (France) an regional (Pays de la Loire) funds
