Check out the Transition Pathway for the Mobility industrial ecosystem!

The updated EU industrial strategy highlights the need to accelerate the green and digital transition of EU industry and its ecosystems. To that end, it proposes working together with industry, public authorities, social partners and other stakeholders to design and implement Transition Pathways for each ecosystem.

The Transition Pathway for the EU mobility industrial ecosystem has been published on January 26, 2024. The report includes 112 specific actions to support the twin transitions and the long-term resilience and competitiveness of the mobility ecosystem.

The actions are divided into seven building blocks, each representing one key aspect of the transition and aiming to:

  1. Enhance sustainable competitiveness
  2. Strengthen supply chains
  3. Accelerate digitalisation
  4. Safeguard a level playing field
  5. Accelerate zero-emission, connected and automated vehicles
  6. Support new business models and investments
  7. Ensure affordable mobility and a fair and just transition

On 16 April 2024, the European Commission launched a call for pledges to accelerate the twin transition for the Mobility ecosystem and co-implement the fields of action identified in the Mobility Transition Pathway.

This call aims at collecting any concrete actions underway or commitments by organisations (e.g. business, association, public administration, social partner, or NGO) to achieve the twin (green and digital) transition and increase the resilience of the EU Mobility Industry.

Pledges can be submitted here.
