By winning the 2021 edition, Oncompass became the successor of Corti, a Danish AI-based healthcare company.
The award was delivered to Oncompass by Mariya Gabriel the European Commissioner for Innovation, Research, Culture, Education and Youth and was part of the closing ceremony of the Masters of Digital which took place on 3 and 4 February. This year’s version of the annual conference, organised by DIGITALEUROPE - a trade association representing digitally transforming industries in Europe, focused on the role of digitalisation in bolstering Europe’s emergence from the global pandemic.
One of the traditions of the event is the Future Unicorn Award. This prize aims to applaud scale-ups across Europe that have the potential of becoming future European tech giants. All Small- and Medium-sized enterprises that are selected by their national affiliated trade association have proven to be successful in digitising their business process and offering innovative digital products and services. This year’s 21 nominees originated from 17 different European countries and represented various industries, such as financial and educational technologies, energy, e-health and security. Showing that innovation is a characteristic shared among Europeans.
The Advanced Technology for Industry (ATI) has also published a report on Technology Focus on AI and a Sectoral Watch on Technological trends in the medical devices industry and related healthcare.
