Bay Zoltán Nonprofit Ltd. for Applied Research aims to contribute to the competitiveness and efficiency of Hungarian companies by providing services in innovation and technology transfer in cooperation with Hungarian and foreign partner institutions. Its regular customers (SMEs, LEs) include more than 200 companies; BZN offers them complex scientific and technological solutions to enhance their competitiveness.

BZN cooperates with institutions of the public sector, the academia and universities, and their research institutes. For these partners, BZN acts as innovation intermediaries through its applied R&D and technology transfer activities. As a think tank with a strong team of researchers and experts, Bay Zoltán Research Centre helps research and development needs of industry from an idea’s conception to its realization. BZN actively participates in building international consortia, networking, and EU tenders in R&D and innovation. Moreover, BZN offers business development services as a technology incubator.

Bay Zoltán Research Centre's mission is to act as a catalyst in national and international projects providing state-of-the-art technology solutions, and to create innovative added value that is significant for the national economy and the well-being of society.
